MCM Law llc, Founder and owner

Mark C. Milton

Mark started his career as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”), Tax Division, in Washington, DC, via the prestigious Attorney General’s Honors Program.  While with the DOJ, Mark represented the IRS in various collection matters, refund suits, and complex tax cases in federal courts throughout the United States.  In 2014, Mark was awarded the DOJ’s Outstanding Trial Attorney Award.

Prior to founding MCM Law LLC, Mark worked at an AmTop100 law firm in St. Louis specializing in tax controversies, white collar criminal defense, health care and securities fraud defense, corporate internal investigations, and business litigation for small businesses and Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to law school, Mark worked at two large public accounting firms in Chicago and St. Louis, where he prepared tax returns for individuals and small businesses and audited financial statements for Fortune 500 companies.  During law school, Mark clerked for the late Honorable William D. Stiehl, U.S. District Court Judge in the Southern District of Illinois, and worked part-time as a corporate counsel extern for The Centric Group LLC.

While in law school, Mark served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and earned the school’s ALI-ABA Leadership and Scholarship Award, an honor bestowed on only one graduating student each year who best demonstrates a combination of these qualities.

In 2017, Mark left his job in “Big Law” to start his own firm so he could better represent the legal interests of individuals and small businesses facing tax and legal problems.

Mark resides with his wife and son in Warson Woods, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis), where they attend church at St. Genevieve du Bois.  In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, traveling, playing basketball, and watching baseball.

Mark previously served as President of the St. Louis Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, which he helped found in 2014 and co-chaired the FBA's 39th Annual Tax Law Conference in Washington, DC. Mark is also a member of the Kirkwood Rotary Club.
